In any academic project, my biggest hurdle has always been the time-and-people-related admin.
The part where I know I have to submit a certain thing by a certain date so a specific committee can look at it and tell me everything I have to fix before I resubmit and do the whole thing all over again.
And now I'm stuck in a loop of resisting implementing the last round of feedback (and have been for a month). I just want to get this thing done now, but every day I stare at it and think they won't possibly accept it, and then I successfully scare myself away from completing it (even though it was "due" with my very easygoing supervisor four Fridays ago—the only person I'm really delaying here is myself).
But! At least I'm not wallowing in the despair of the past Saturday. Non, now I stare at this rotating sword a little more cheerfully. I think I can do this.
